The final blog my dear friends

Image
Years ago, I thought that I was obliged to pass English or I would have to pay another year of university (which is still like this), but I have felt more confident, relax and comfortable in that sense because the English classes have been pleasant and easy to take for me. The blogs can take a long time to build, but I love to write and I have met my classmates in a deeper way, especially when the only way to access them (with online classes) is through blogs, or group dynamics in classes. The aspects in english that I must continue working on are pronunciation and fluency when I am speaking, because I've only practiced pronunciation in classes and fluency is difficult for me because I think about many things at the same time and sometimes I end up stumbling or not saying what I wanted exactly, but I think that if I practice more conversation with a friend (who studied translation) I could improve. I definitely use English more now than before. I can see some videos on YouTube tha...

Things need to change

Throughout these years in college I have thought about all the things that need to be changed. For example, there are mandatory non-art elective classes that are taken in order of enrollment, but art students are allowed to enroll last, so we always take what no one wanted to take. If I could, I would replace it with practice activities where students are admitted to museums and galleries, and thus they can enter that field when they graduate from the career.  I believe, on the other hand, that the academic workload  and lenght of studies is fine, and in that sense I wouldn't change anything.  The infrastructure has always been a problem and in fact there have been student mobilizations in this regard, since all the ceilings of the art faculty are built with a material that causes cancer and which is also illegal to use now. So I would definitely change the rector, who promised to change the roofs and has done nothing about it in two years.  If we talk about te...

A course I would like to take

As the end of my degree approaches, I am more indecisive about what I will do next. But if I had the opportunity to study what I wanted, I would like to take a doctorate in philosophy, with a major in aesthetics and new digital media. Although of course, to access to it, you should have at least a master's degree. The magister in that case, can be the same topic of investigation, new media or contemporary art. The reason why I am interested in doing this doctorate sometime when I have money saved, is that throughout the plastic arts career, the most entertaining classes I had were taught by professors who had done this doctorate. I would like to take a program taught by the University of Chile, since I find it interesting, it also has the advantage of being relatively close to my house where my mother and sister are living. I am a person who cares a lot about the family, so I couldn't do it abroad, but if the classes were online I would change my mind. It would be great to ha...
